It's been a long four days. Friday saw Wolves get a very fortunate win over Leeds - cracking strike off the crossbar, hit the keeper and went in - in what was an entertaining game.  First player through. Saturday Fulham edged it over Sheff Utd (phew!). Second player through (me :D) Sunday it looked good for Newcastle in the first 30 mins as Man Utd struggled to get out of first gear.  Ultimately, Newcastle did what they do best, and lost 3-1.  Third player through. Finally tonight saw the last match, in which Palace had two touches in the Brighton penalty area and scored two goals.  Robbed.   But, that does mean we're down to three. Blimey this is tough being on the other side of the fence. As one of the final four, it's been an testing week.  Normally I like to guess who the finalists go for, but apart from the Man Utd pick, I could not predict who the others would opt for.  I also decided to get my pick in early, as I didn't want to be influenced by the other teams coming in.  Since then, I've been up and down about changing it, but as is always the flaw, never change your pick. So there we have it - four players, four different home teams.  One of which will know their outcome this evening as Wolves take on Leeds. The curse of the 'top pick' strikes again, as Everton were humiliated at an empty Goodison.  Sunday wasn't a good day for the players on Southampton or Man Utd either, however Arsenal battered Leeds 4-2 sending one player safely through. Monday saw the other three players through unscathed as West Ham easily put three past Sheff Utd, and Chelsea barely got out of 2nd gear against the Toon. Liverpool the clear favourites for the midweeks, with 60 players on the bookies fav. A quick note that we have 84 players remaining - not 79 as my last update.  There were 5 non-selectors in week 2 who got Man City, which I mistakenly updated as out (due to filtering by colour, scooped them up with Man Utd).  Whoops!
