Week 1 Results / Week 2 Fixtures

Stupid Villa.  Or stupid me...  I never learn. 167 players are out at the first hurdle, but that could rise if Southampton manage to get some points tonight. Presently we have 584 players moving on into week 2. Week One Selections - £3575 Pot

Image
Good evening everyone.  Reconciliations are now complete, and I can confirm we're starting this game playing for a £3575 prize pot.  Welcome to all our new and existing players. A reminder of the new rule for auto-picks.  We've seven players not selected for week one.  These will get Arsenal (most popular pick this week), but the eagle-eyed among you will notice their names now highlighted blue on the file.  A second non-selection this round will result in elimination from the game. You can find the file with the details of all picks here:   PremKiller 2025 G1R1 Good Luck! Week 1 - Final Update - £2525

Online banking is back up and running, and all players/picks/payments up to ~6pm tonight are reconciled.  Anyone marked  orange  is paid up for the next game - if that was intended for another player, just drop me an email. The pot is now up to  £2525 , with under 48 hours for players to join.  273 players are yet to commit, so that could rise by another £1200 to be the largest opening pot we've had (£3485 the current record). Rule Change: I forgot to remind on Sunday that this season I'll be introducing the new auto-pick rules announced back in March: Old: " If an entrant fails to nominate a selection, that person will be allocated the highest placed league team not selected, regardless of home or away." New: " If an entrant fails to nominate a selection, that person will be allocated based on the most popular pick for the week, alphabetically.  If already used, the second most popular, etc...  Each player has one auto-pick per game, should the player not pick a

Week 1 - Update 25.09 - £1720

The pot is now up to £1720 , with two days left for players to join.  Exactly 400 players are yet to commit, so that could rise by £2000 to be the largest opening pot we've had (£3485 the current record). Week 1 - Update 24.09 - £985

Evening everyone, just a quick update on where we are with the new game that starts THIS WEEKEND. The pot is already just shy of £1000, with three days left for players to join.  I've updated the latest picks on the file, however due to transferring to a new phone, while I can see the balance, I can't get on to download the payments via bank (it says it should be a day or so).  As soon as I get the details, I'll tie everyone up.  If you've paid, do not worry - it'll update soon. Rule Change: I forgot to remind on Sunday that this season I'll be introducing the new auto-pick rules announced back in March: Old: " If an entrant fails to nominate a selection, that person will be allocated the highest placed league team not selected, regardless of home or away." Week 13 - We Have A WINNER!!!

Chelsea cruised to victory in the early KO on Saturday, and then all Ben Westerman had to do was wait.  Everton took an early lead in the Sat 3pms, but Leicester came back to draw.  Simultaneously, Ipswich rallied against Southampton, but it was too little, too late, as they also drew. Today saw Forest take the lead over Brighton, before they came back to be winning 2-1 at HT.  However, Forest (Ben's team incidentally), saved the day for him by equalising to 2-2, and it remained that way. Congratulations to Ben - who has £7195 winging its way to him electronically - and commiserations to Mark, Henry and George.  So close. The file with all results for Ben's winning game can be found  here:   PremKiller 2024 G3R2 This is Ben's third (!!!) Prem Killer win, having played since the very early days - winning £235 in 2010, and £400 in 2011.  Look how far this game has come!  The £7195 payment takes us to total payouts of £124,700!!! There's no rest for us now, as we'll g

Week 13 Selections

Well, well, well... We've got 4 players, and 4 different picks! First up is Ben who has picked Chelsea (away at West Ham) in the early KO.  He'll be hoping I don't have to dig out the Ghandi meme... Then, at 3pm on Saturday we have two more away teams picked.  Mark has Everton (away at Leicester), while George has Ipswich (away at Southampton). Finally, Henry is waiting until Sunday to find out his fate, picking Brighton (at home to Forest). The file with all picks and results so far can be found  here:   PremKiller 2024 G3R2 Good Luck! Week 12 Results / Week 13 Fixtures

Well that was some week! The three 3pm KO's all ended in draws meaning 21 players go out.  The later KO, Everton once again took a 2-0 lead and threw it away - The Villains coming back to win 3-2. Four players move on to week 13! Week 11 Results / Week 10 Fixtures

Week Eleven saw us reduce to just 25 players, as a lot of draws scuppered a lot of players plans. It's getting tight now, with 5 teams unavailable for selection by any remaining player, with 2 teams only available for one player...  But will that be enough?
